Week 30: How to implement toy rotation for different ages at home?

If you have different age children at home, here are some tips to set up your environment and implement toy rotation for both children. Here are some suggestions:

1. If you have an infant or toddler at home. Place their items on a low shelf, where each can easily access their play toys.

2. Incorporate four play toys at a time. Rotate every two weeks.

3. If you have a primary student using the space space for both children, place their items out of reach from your infant or toddler.

4. Organize your shelfs from left to right, easiest to hardest.

5. If your infant or toddler are getting in the way and trying to use your primary child's items, move the workspace to your child's room.

6. Continue to rotate play toys, for a primary student rotate her activities after she has master an activity, lost interest, and repeat.

7. Remember in Montessori its all about observation.
