Week 3: What your baby needs right now.

Week 3: What your baby needs right now.

Your baby has been getting stronger every day. You might notice your baby is already doing so much more!

Your baby's body movements might seem less random and more coordinated on an object. When moving around, they will be carrying their arms and legs equally. With this added strength, you'll notice that your baby has more neck and head control.

Also, now your baby will work on lifting their heads 45 degrees when they are lying down; all babies are a little different, so don't stress if yours isn't doing this just yet.

Here are some activities you can do to support your baby at three weeks.

  1. Spend 15-20 mins daily with your little one and practice tummy time. If your baby seems fussy or uncomfortable, check out our tummy time alternatives blog to support a fussy baby with tummy time.
  2. During tummy time, use the tummy time set to help your baby with tummy time, visual learning, and body recognization.
  3. At this age, your baby may also begin to follow faces and moving objects with their eyes. Use the tummy time set the mirror to help with this new skill or the sensory pocket to start helping your little one recognize their hands and grasp.
  4. Remember your baby's vision is still a little blurry, so make sure you place items 12 inches away from their face so that they can see it clearly.
